Megan Kingery, Jefferson-Scranton class of 2010, and Victoria Chargo, J-S class of 2011, will present a senior recital Friday, Oct. 31, at 8 pm at Davis Hall in the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center on the University of Northern Iowa campus in Cedar Falls.
Kingery, a flutist, will perform music by Georg Phillip Telemann, John Rutter and Ian Clarke. Chargo, a French horn player, will perform works by Claude Debussy, Lars-Erik Larsson and Richard Strauss. They will end the recital with a duet by Eric Ewazen.
Assisting will be Dr Robin Guy on piano and Jordan Bancroft-Smithe on bassoon.
The recital is in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the bachelor of music education degree. Kingery studies with Dr Angeleita Floyd and Chargo studies with Dr Tina Su.
Both are indebted to Jefferson-Scranton instrumental music teacher Susan Turner, Matt Schutt, Kyra Babcock, Marty Brenden and Becky Greiner.
There is no admission charge. The public is cordially invited; refreshments will be served.
